Northene-Low Density Polyethylene
- Semi flexible
- Good impact strength
- Maximum shrinkage = 6%, guaranteed when heated at the correct temperature.
- Affected by skin oil exuded in sweat. Can lead to stress cracking.
Sheet size for orthotics: 2440 x 1220mm.
Square size for prosthetics: 406 x 406mm, 343 x 343mm, 305 x 305mm.
Colours available: Natural.
Thickness: 1.5mm, 3.1mm, 4.7mm, 6mm, 9mm.
Tolerance on thickness: ±5%
Moulding temperature:
Orthotics 150°C/302°F
Prosthetics 150°C/302°F
Cooking time: 3 minutes per mm thickness. N.B. As all ovens have slightly different heating characteristics please use our recommended timings as a guide only.
